Bhubaneswar: As many as 11 workers including eight women from Odisha, who were stranded in Andhra Pradesh, have returned to their home state safely with the help of Odisha Parivar Directorate.
The workers, who went to work in Andhra Pradesh, belong to Sundargarh district. They were allegedly harassed in Andhra Pradesh.
After the Chief Minister’s Office came to know about the condition of the workers, the ‘Odisha Parivar Directorate’ has been instructed to rescue them safely and bring them back to Odisha.
Director of Odisha Parivar Directorate Dilip Routray coordinated with Andhra Pradesh Government, Labour and Employee’s State Insurance Department for the rescue of the stranded workers. The coordinated efforts made it possible for their safe return.
When 11 workers arrived at the Bhubaneswar railway station today, they were welcomed by the Odisha Parivar. The workers expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister, the Director of the Odisha Parivar Directorate and his team and the officials of the Labour and Employee’s State Insurance Department for all their cooperation in bringing them back safely to Odisha.
