Sambalpur: In a tragic incident, three members of a family were swept away while they were taking bath in river Mahanadi in Sambalpur district on Monday.
One of the victims was rescued in critical condition and two were still missing. The rescue operation is still on, according to sources.
The victims were identified as daughter Rukshana (12), son Abatab (10) and their father Md Altab (40).
The children were swept away while they were bathing in the river. To rescue them, Altab jumped into the river.
The son was rescued by fire services personnel in critical condition.
