Chatrapur: A huge quantity of ganja was seized by Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange from a train at Chatrapur Railway station on Sunday.
The peddler, identified as one Subham Patnaik from Berhampur, has been arrested in this connection.
Ganja weighing around 40 kg was seized from a Surat-bound train at Chatrapur Railway station.
Acting on a tip-off, the Ganjam Collector and other officials seized the contraband items from the train.
The value of the banned substance is estimated around at Rs 2 lakh.
The seized items have been handed over to the Excise Department, according to reports.
