Bhubaneswar: As Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has adopted the technology-driven transformational approach as part of the 5T initiatives, Electronics and Information Technology (E&IT) Department Secretary Manoj Kumar Mishra on Tuesday inaugurated the OSWAS (paperless office system) at major government offices in Khordha district.
The E&IT Secretary unveiled the OSWAS in the Office of old Collectorate, SP Office, ADM Bhubaneswar, DRDA Khordha, Sub-Collector Khordha and Sub-Collector Bhubaneswar at a function held in DRDA Conference Hall, Khordha.
OSWAS is a workflow automation system, which aims to bring in efficiency and effectiveness in functioning of the offices. It will ensure electronic file disposal and have features like digital signature, 24×7 secure accesses, and online publishing of notices and circulars. It will ensure clearance of files at minimum possible time in the offices.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the E&IT Secretary said that technology is one of the major components of 5T initiatives of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. We are thriving to use technology in all spheres of administration to ensure better service delivery to the people.
He also expressed satisfaction with the adoption of technology by all staffs of Khordha district administration and assured support of OCAC in the implementation of technology-driven initiatives.
Khordha Collector Sangram Keshari Mohapatra, PD DRDA Diganta Routray and other officials were present on the occasion.
