Bhubaneswar: It’s proud moment for Odisha and the State Police as Aska Model Police Station in Ganjam district has been declared number one police station in the country by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
The police station has successfully implemented the 5T initiatives of the State Government in ensuring people-centric police services.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday awarded Aska Model Police Station of Ganjam district as the Number One Police Station in the Country during the DGsP/IGsP Conference – 2022 which began in National Agriculture Science Complex, New Delhi.
Odisha DGP Sunil Kumar Bansal has attended the DGsP/IGsP Conference – 2022.
The Aska Model Police Station has been adjudged as the number one Police Station in the country in the Annual Ranking of Police Stations for the year 2022.
Prashanta Kumar Sahoo, IIC, Aska Police Station has received the prestigious award with certificate of appreciation from the Union Home Minister.
Director, Intelligence Sanjeeb Panda, Addl. DG of Police (Law & Order), R.K. Sharma, Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, Saumyendra Kumar Priyadarsi, Addl. DG of Police (CID-CB), Arun Bothra, along with other senior officers are attending the DGsP/IGsP Conference – 2022 virtually from Bhubaneswar.
National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval was also present on the occasion.
Aska police has adopted a slew of people centric initiatives under the 5T framework of governance to transform the policing and that helped to get this recognition. The then Ganjam SP Brijesh Kumar Rai has played a major role in implementing the State Government’s 5T initiatives at Aska Police station.
