5T Secretary V K Pandian Makes Early Morning Review of Developmental Works In Puri; Calls Upon Officials For Timely Completion

Puri: Odisha 5T Secretary V K Pandian today made an early morning review of the various developmental works in Puri. After having darshan of the deities, Pandian visited the Parikrama Prakalpa work site and reviewed the progress of the Heritage Corridor Project. He visited the Inner Parikrama and Outer Parikrama sites of the Parikrama Marga and urged the officials to complete the works on time as the world famous Ratha Yatra is approaching. He discussed the various issues with Tata Project officials present.

V K Pandian also visited the Shree Setu project site and reviewed the progress of the works. He discussed various issues with Collector Samarth Verma. Sub-collector Bhabatarana Sahoo and the OBCC project officials were also present during the review. Pandian has instructed the officials to speed up the works for timely completion.

The review meeting assumes importance as the world famous Ratha Yatra is fast approaching and the thrust is on timely completion of the various works being undertaken under the Puri Heritage Corridor Project. The Shree Setu Project will help in managing the traffic movement to the city and is likely to be completed within 18 months from the starting of the work. As part of grand vision for Puri, the Shree Setu Project is being developed to create a new link road connectivity from Puri Bypass to Jagannath Ballav Math Pilgrim Centre. The 1.5 kilometre long 60 meter wide road will have a trumpet interchange with access control.
