CM Naveen Launches Shree Jagannath Express Bus Service 

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday launched the Shree Jagannath Express Bus Service in the State.

The Jagannath Express Buses will operate under the Location Accessible Multi-modal Initiative (LAccMI) and run from district headquarters to Srikshetra Puri via Bhubaneswar.

In the first phase, 12 districts will be covered for the Jagannath Express Bus Service. The districts are Balangir, Bargarh, Ganjam, Jharsuguda, Koraput, Kalahandi, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Rayagada, Sambalpur and Sundargarh. As many as 80 super premium Shri Jagannath Express buses from 30 districts will operate under this scheme.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the price of tickets for mothers in the Shree Jagannath Express will be only 50 per cent. The ticket price for mothers in LAccMI bus service is only Rs 5. This has brought a lot of benefits to the mothers, the CM added.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government has started the Jagannath Express Bus Service for the people of the state to visit Puri Dham and take the blessings of the Lord.

The Chief Minister further said that the Srimandir Parikrama Project was inaugurated yesterday as per the wishes of Lord Jagannath. The project has enhanced the beauty of the temple and made the atmosphere more devotional.

The Chief Minister said that steps are being taken to preserve and spread Jagannath culture in the villages and villages in the Ama Odisha and Nabin Odisha programme.

Transport Minister Tukuni Sahu, 5T Chairman Kartik Pandian, Principal Secretary of Commerce and Transport Department Usha Padhee attended the programme.

Among others, MLA Bhupinder Singh, Development Commissioner Anu Garg and senior officers of various departments were also present in the programme.
