Arpana Ratha Rice And Betel Nuts To Be Used In the Service Of Lord Jagannath: Suar Mahasuar Nijoga

Puri: The Rice and Betel Nuts donated by devotees during the travel of the Arpana Ratha across the state will be used in the service of the Lord Jagannath. Speaking to media, Padmanabha Mahasuar, President of Suar Mahasuar Nijog, said that there is no question of these collections getting wasted or going anywhere. The entire Rice and Betel nut collection materials will be used in different services of the Lord Jagannath. He said that the Rice will be used in preparation of Khechudi and distributed to the devotees. Likewise, the Betel Nuts will be used the Lords Bidia Paan. The Nijoga will receive all the materials carefully and utilize them. He also added that the rice will also be used to prepare Pithas and Muruja used in the temple Jhotti.
