Berhampur Police Detects Burglary Case; Arrests Four & Recovers 190 Gram Gold

Berhampur: Berhampur Police has successfully detected a burglary case and recovered around 190 gram gold and cash worth Rs 1.58 lakh.

As many as four persons involved in the crime have been arrested by the police.

The three accused persons, who have been arrested, are Siva Parida (34) of Chhamu Sahi, Rambha, PS.Rambha, District.Ganjam, N.Pramod Pradhan (24) of Lachhipur village, P.S Beguniapada, District. Ganjam and Sudarsan Sahu (38) of Kuthari Temple Street, Trinath Temple Chowk, Berhampur, PS. Badabazar, District.Ganjam.

The receiver K.Ramu Achary (42), Haridakhandi village, Berhampur, PS. Badabazar, District. Ganjam has also been arrested.

On 03.01.2024, a burglary happened in the house of one Susanta Kumar Patnaik, of Malati Nagar, Mandiapalli. Some unknown culprits committed burglary and stolen around 200 grams gold and silver ornaments, cash of 2 lakhs, wrist watch, camera when the owner and others were not present.

A team was formed under the leadership SDPO, B.Sadar including IIC, Gopalpur PS and other police officers and staffs of Gopalpur Police Station, informed Berhampur SP Dr. Saravana Vivek M.

Through scientific investigation and analysis of CCTV, the three accused persons and the stolen property receiver were arrested. The entire stolen gold ornaments and cash of Rs 1,58,000 were recovered. The recovered gold ornaments total 189.99 grams, cash of Rs 1 lakh 58,000 thousands handed over to the owner Susanta Kumar Pattanaik of Mandiapalli at the office of SP, Berhampur.
