CM Grieves Death of 6 Persons in Bangriposi Road Accident, Announces Rs 3 Lakh Ex-Gratia

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik grieved the death of six persons in a tragic accident that took place near Bangriposi in Mayurbhanj district on Wednesday.

The Chief Minister announced an ex-gratia of Rs 3 lakh each to the next kin of the deceased.

The Chief Minister also expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.

The CM also directed the authorities to ensure necessary medical treatment to the injured.

Six persons of a jatra party died and over 11 persons sustained critical injuries after the truck in which they were travelling turned at Dwarsuni Ghat under Bangriposi block in Mayurbhanj district.

The truck of Dhauli Gananatya was carrying light and sound equipment along with the members of the jatra party and on its way towards Jaleswar from Rairangpur when the accident took place.
