Bhubaneswar: Arabinda Mohapatra, son of senior politician from Kendrapara, Bijoy Mohapatra, today joined the Biju Janata Dal. He joined the party in the presence of BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik and other senior leaders.
It is worth mentioning here that Bijoy Mohapatra is a veteran political leader from Kendrapara and is a founder member of the Biju Janata Dal. He is also a four-time MLA from Patkura. He was also a minister under former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik. His son Arabinda Mahapatra has been active in local politics and participating in local social functions for the last few days. The joining of Arabinda will further strengthen the Biju Janata Dal in the district.
After joining the BJD, Arabinda said, today is an auspicious day for me. He thanked Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and 5T Chairman Kartik Pandian. He also said that the development of Patakura will be his priority.
