Odisha Govt to Formulate Odisha Information and Public Relations Technical Service (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2024

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government has decided to formulate the Odisha Information and Public Relations Technical Service (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2024.

A proposal in this regard has been approved at the State Cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday.

In order to attract skillful candidates for recruitment to different technical Cadres under I & P R Department and meet the requirement of the Government, 7(Seven) small technical Cadres have been restructured vide Notification No. 834 dated 12.01.2024 and 3658 dated 29.02.2024 with creation of new promotional avenues as well as modification of educational qualification for direct recruitment.

Consequent upon such restructuring, there was need for defining/ redefining the educational qualification as well as mode of recruitment and period of residency for promotion by framing a separate set of rules to regulate the technical cadres of the Department.

Keeping the above need in view, it has been decided by the Cabinet to formulate the Odisha Information and Public Relations Technical Service (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2024, according to an official release.
