VSSUT Prohibits Students from Wearing Western Clothes during Techno-Cultural Festival

Sambalpur: Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla has prohibited the students from wearing western and vulgar cloths during the upcoming Techno-Cultural Festival-2024.

VSSUT has urged the students to wear Indian traditional cloths during the event.

As per the order of VSSUT Vice-Chancellor Dr Banshidar Majhi, all the students of VSSUT, Burla, are instructed to wear Indian traditional dresses during the Techno-Cultural Festival-2024.
“Western/vulgar/short dresses are strictly forbidden inside the University campus during the festival,” the order stated.

Students wearing short clothes, half pants, or mini-skirts will be denied entry during the event. Those not dressed in ethnic outfits will be turned away at the main gate and will not be permitted to participate in the function.

The university authorities have also resolved to take disciplinary action against students for violating the directive.
