Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal President Naveen Patnaik on Monday came down heavily on the opposition while campaigning for his party candidates in Jagatsinghpur Lok Sabha constituency.
Speaking at a huge public meeting, the BJD supremo said that the opposition leaders are spreading lies and shedding crocodile tears.
The Chief Minister also sought response of the people on various welfare schemes of his government, such as BSKY, Mission Shakti, Mamata, LAccMI Bus, 5T School Transformation, Students’ Scholarship, KALIA, Madhubabu Pension Yojana, Ration card and Puri Parikrama project. The people responded very positively answering ‘yes’ to all questions.
Naveen reiterated that the electricity bill will not come from July. The BJD government will provide free electricity. Are you happy, asked Chief Minister? The people present at the meeting venue said ‘yes’ amid great joy.
Is Naveen Patnaik good, asked the CM? People got emotional at the question and responded ‘very good’ in one voice.
Naveen Patnaik, the number one Chief Minister in India, will make Odisha number one, said senior BJD leader Kartik Pandian while addressing the people.
Once again attacking the opposition, the senior BJD leader said that the BJP, in its poll manifesto, promised that it will implement ‘Ayushman Bharat Yojana’, if it came to power. If the scheme is implemented, only 2 crore families of Odisha will be covered and mere half of the population will be benefited.
Talking about the BSKY, Kartik Pandian said that 98 per cent people of Odisha are getting benefits under this scheme.
‘Now you decide if you need the half or full”, he said.
He further said that the BJP says that it will provide electricity free of cost to the people. For this, you have to spend Rs 50,000 to install solar panels to get electricity. The BJP is showing lanterns during the day.
The BJP also promised to give Rs 50,000 to each woman. During the previous election, the party promised that it would provide Rs 15 lakh. Where did it go? Will you ask them?
The senior BJD leader urged the people to remain cautious at the false propaganda of the opposition.
