Puri: In a tragic incident, a devotee died and several others were injured during the pulling of chariot at the world famous Rath Yatra in Puri.
As per reports, a male devotee lost his life and several others sustained injuries in a stampede-like situation while pulling the Taladhwaja chariot.
The injured devotees were taken to the Puri District Headquarters hospital for treatment.
The doctors declared one of the male devotees dead due to suffocation, reports stated.
The identity of the deceased devotee is yet to be known.
