Koraput: A woman Maoist surrendered before the police in Koraput district on Saturday.
The Maoist identified as Kamleswari Marei alias Amila was working as a party member in Mainpur local guerilla squad (LGS) under Mainpur Nuapada Division of CPI (Maoist).
She has surrendered before DIG, South Western Range, in Koraput.
She is a native of Hanamundi under Bishrampur police limits of Kondagaon district in neighbouring state Chhattisgarh.
She joined the CPI (Maoist) organization in the year 2019 in Mainpur LGS, Chhattisgarh as a party member.
She worked in Mainpur LGS from 2019 to 2021 under the command of Satyam Gawde, according to reports.
