Konark: No Devotees To Be allowed For Magha Saptami And Chandrabhaga Buda

Konark: Like last year, this year too the Magha Saptami and Chandrabhaga Buda will be held amidst Covdi-19 restrictions. No devotees will be allowed to take bath during the ceremonial Buda this year. A decision to this effect was taken today at the review meeting held at Konark by the Puri district administration. The Magha Saptami celebrations along with the Chandrabhaga Buda are scheduled to be held on the 7th of February, but due to the prevailing Covid situation, the administration has taken a decision to keep it simple and no devotees will be allowed. The religious rituals such as the Mahasnana of Aisanswara, Dakhineswara and Tribeniswara will be held as a low key affair and only the sebayats will be allowed to perform the rituals and taking the holy dip. The meeting also discussed the security arrangements to be in place for the Magha Saptami.
