GMU Signs MoU for Research in Sambalpuri Handloom Design and Technology

Sambalpur: The Gangadhar Meher University signed an MoU today with the Sambalpuri Bastralaya, Bargarh to undertake joint research and development work in the field of Sambalpuri handloom design and technology.
The main aim of this MoU is to facilitate the skill enhancement of GMU students in areas related to sambalpuri design and technology.

It involves data and information sharing, research work on Sambalpuri culture, history and technology, internship, training and skill development of students for value addition to their career and also the enrichment of the indigenous sambalpuri design, skills and technology.

In the presence of the Vice Chancellor Prof. N.Nagaraju, the MoU was signed by Dr.Uma Charan Pati, Deputy Registrar with the Managing Director of the Sambalpuri Bastralaya Sri Shishir Kumar Nag.

The MoU signing program was coordinated by Hemanta Kumar Mishra, Manager of the Sambalpuri Bastralaya, Bargarh.
