CM Naveen to Leave for Delhi on Three-Day Visit; Will Attend BBC Sports Award Ceremony Today Evening

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will leave for New Delhi today afternoon. He will be in Delhi for three days. This is the first visit of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to Delhi in the last two years. He will attend the BBC Sports Award Ceremony to be held today evening.

The visit of the Chief Minister assumes significance as the presidential elections are expected to be held in the month of July and Biju Janata Dal will have an important say in the same.

The Chief Minister is also expected to meet some of the Union Ministers and take of the pending issues of state interest.

Naveen is likely to raise the issues such as non lifting of par boiled rice by the center, seek more houses under PMAY-G scheme and release of pending funds under various schemes.
