Chatrapur: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will attend the Pratistha Ustav of the new temple of Maa Taratarini, the presiding deity of Ganjam district.
The much-awaited celebrations of the new Taratarini temple will begin from May 15 and would continue for six days, informed the temple authorities.
The Chief Minister will attend the Pratistha Ustav on May 18 and seek blessings of Maa Taratarini.
Rituals were performed for this important function of the Maa Taratarini on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya with first invitation being given to the deity.
The Ganjam administration has made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Pratistha Ustav of the new look Taratarini temple.
The Taratarini temple, which is one of the oldest and famous pilgrimage centres in Odisha, has gone massive transformation with the implementation of the various development projects approved by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
