Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal President Naveen Patnaik has nominated members for the four vacant posts of member of Rajya Sabha.
The nominated members are Sulata Deo, Manas Ranjan Mangaraj, Dr. Sasmit Patra and Niranjan Bishi.
This has been informed by BJD Organizational Secretary Pranab Prakash Das in a press release.
The term of three Rajya Sabha members from Odisha – Nekkanti Bhaskar Rao, Prasanna Acharya and Sasmit Patra will end on July 1. Another seat fell vacant due to the resignation of BJD’s Subhas Singh.
Polling for three Rajya Sabha seats will be held on June 10, and the counting of votes will take place on the same day.
The by-election to another seat will be held on June 13 and the counting will be held after the poll.
