Bhubaneswar: The 62nd All Odisha State Swimming Championship concluded here on Monday.
The Championship featured an array of talented young swimmers from across the State.
Bhubaneswar’s Mannata Mishra has been adjudged as the best swimmer of the championship with 2134 points and also won the individual championship in the Girls Group.
She won 5 gold medals and became the overall champion.
Cuttack’s Anmol Mohanty (2078 points) won the individual Championship Boys Group.
Champions of Group II
Boys – Hitesh Maharana from Sambalpur (1742 points)
Girls – Anshika Aradhana Sahoo from Bhubaneswar (2015 points)
In Boys Group III, Kanhu Soren from KIIT & KISS won the Individual Championship with 1016 points while Sambalpur’s Arpita Seth won the Girls Group III Individual Championship with 927 points.
The three-day championship was inaugurated by Odisha Sports Minister Tusharkanti Behera on May 28.
More than 260 competitors participated in the in Junior and Sub- junior categories championship.
In July the national swimming championship for junior and sub junior categories will be held in Bhubaneswar through the Odisha Swimming Association.
