Odisha: Online Booking for HSRP of Vehicles Starts on SIAM Portal

Bhubaneswar: As the Odisha Government has made affixation of high-security registration plates (HSRPs) mandatory for all classes of vehicles which were registered prior to April 1, 2019, the online booking for HSRPs of vehicles began on the website of Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM)– www.siam.in.

The facility has been made available for vehicles of several companies in the initial phase. The booking facility for vehicles of all companies will be available by the end of June 1, according to the Odisha State Transport Authority.

Here are the steps to book HSRP for vehicles on SIAM portal:

 Visit www.siam.in
 Click ‘BOOK HSRP’ (Link: https://www.siam.in/hrspsubmit.aspx?mpgid=91&pgidtrail=91)
 Fill the required details and click ‘Submit’
 Select the company of your vehicle
 You will be redirected to a separate website, where you need to fill details like vehicle registration number, chassis number and engine number
 Select location and slot for affixation of HSRP
 Pay the fee online
 Download receipt
 For all class of vehicles registered prior to April 1, 2019, the vehicle owners shall have to take necessary steps to get the HSRP affixed on their vehicle as per timeline given below.

Vehicle owners have been given three months’ time to fix the HSRP on old vehicles before enforcement is undertaken by the transport department and police officials, the STA stated earlier.
