Bhubaneswar: The vigilance officials have apprehended an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police (ASI) in Khordha district for allegedly taking bribe from a person.
Bhagaban Swain, ASI of Bologarh Police Station in Khordha district, was held by Odisha Vigilance while he was demanding and accepting bribe Rs.6,000 from a complainant to help her son and his associate in a case.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS has registered a case against the ASI and the investigation is in progress.
