Sambalpur: Ex-Vigilance Inspector Manasi Jena, who was arrested by the internal vigilance unit of the department while accepting a bribe of Rs 10 lakh from a government official through a private person, was dismissed from service on Friday, informed the Odisha Vigilance.
“Today, Smt Manasi Jena, Ex Vigilance Inspector, Sambalpur Vigilance Division, has been dismissed from service by the competent authority under Art. 311(2)(b) of the Indian Constitution”, the Vigilance Department informed.
Jena was trapped recently along with her associate, Mukesh Sahoo, by the Internal Vigilance Unit of Odisha Vigilance for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 10 lakh from government official in order to close a petition pending against him.
