New Turfs Laid at Kalinga Stadium ahead of Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023, new turfs have been laid at the Kalinga Stadium main hockey ground and the practice pitch.

This has been informed by the Department of Sports and Youth Services.

The practice pitch (Pitch-2) at the Kalinga Stadium was also relayed with the same quality of turf as that of the main pitch (Pitch-1).

Two turfs inside the campus helps international hockey players get adequate practice time during back-to-back hockey matches.

The Sports and Youth Services Department has thanked everyone who have worked relentlessly to relay the turfs on time.

Following the success of Men’s Hockey World Cup 2018, Odisha is all set to host the second consecutive Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023 in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela from January 13 to 29 next year.
