Rayagada: In a bizarre development in Kashipur area of Rayagada, an elderly man has died and his two sons seriously injured when the villagers attacke3d them on suspicion of witchcraft.
The incident happened in Titiguda village of Kashipur Block in Rayagada district. The diseased is said to be Dai Majhi of Titiguda. The villagers had tied and beaten the three persons of one family on suspicion of doing witchcraft. While the father died in the incident, the two sons escaped with injuries and are under treatment at Tikiri Hospital.
Rayagada police is investigating the issue and one person has been detained in this connection.
