Odisha CM to Visit New Delhi, to Attend NITI Aayog Governing Body Meeting

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will be leaving on a four-day visit to New Delhi from August 5.

During his visit, the Chief Minister is expected to attend the seventh Governing Body meeting of the NITI Aayog to be held on August 7.

At the NITI Aayog meeting, the Chief Minister is likely to raise a range of issues pertaining to the development of State, including Special Focus State status to Odisha.

Last week, NITI Aayog Vice-chairman Suman Kumar Bery met the Chief Minister and invited him to the meeting.
During his visit, the Chief Minister is scheduled to attend the meeting of the national committee on ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

The meeting will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Unnion Home Minister Amit Shah, Governors and Chief Ministers of different states.
This will be the Naveen Patnaik’s second visit to the national capital in the last 15 days.

Earlier, the Odisha CM visited New Delhi to attend the swearing-in ceremony of President Droupadi Murmu.
