Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today unveiled two books written by noted Odia writer Baishnab Prasad Mohanty at Naveen Nivas. The books include a short story compilation “Sesha Chithi” and spiritual book “Bhagabata Kathamruta”. The Chief Minister congratulated the writer for his scholarly creation and advised him to continue the good work in the coming days.
Sesha Chithi is a compilation of short stories that reflect coastal Odisha’s social, cultural and economic condition a half century ago. The book consisting of 23 short stories, has been able to take the readers back to the lost times. Noted literatiere Ramachandra Behera has written the prologue of the book.
Bhagabata Kathamruta is a spiritual book consisting of the 44 religious stories of based on the plots from Bhagabata. Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal has given his viewpoint in the book. Apurba Prakashan of Bhubaneswar has published both the two books.
Baishnaba Charan Mohanty is the former director of the Information and Public Relations Department and has also been the Public Relations Officer of the Chief Minister for a long time. He has great interest in the fields of literature, culture, journalism and social service.
