Bhubaneswar: With an aim to solve the traffic problems in the major roads of the capital city Bhubaneswar, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation has started taking action against encroachments.
The BMC has started removing illegal encroachments from Kalinga Hospital Square to Damana Square today. Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange today visited various places and reviewed the drive against illegal encroachments. While the footpaths are being cleared, unauthorized hoardings are also being removed from public places.
The BMC teams are also taking action against the people and institutions that are not maintaining cleanliness and hygiene. Hefty penalties are being collected from violators.
