Puri: In view of the flood-like situation triggered by rising water levels in the Mahanadi river, the Puri administration has declared closure of schools in the district for two days.
“In view of present flood situation of Puri district, all schools (both goverment and private) of the district shall remain closed on August 17 and August 18” , the district administration said in an order.
A lood-like situation is looming over 10 districts of Odisha due to the heavy rainfall in the upper and lower catchment areas of Mahanadi river.
