Bhubaneswar: A young person lost his life when a wild elephant trampled him in a weekly market at Ambagadia village in Betnoti block of Mayurbhanj. The incident happened yesterday evening when the elephant entered the market from the nearby forest and attacked the businessmen. The deceased is identified as Biswanath Singh. On getting information about the incident, Odisha Forest Department officials from the Betanati Range rushed to the spot and are monitoring the movement of the elephant.
