Cuttack: The 63rd Police Commemoration Day was observed at the State Police Headquarters here on Friday.
On the occasion, DGP Sunil Bansal and other senior officers paid homage to three Police Martyrs of Odisha Police and others of various police establishments in India who made supreme sacrifice of their lives in the line of duty.
The Police Commemoration Day is observed on 21st October every year.
The day is observed as Martyr’s Day in all police forces of India. The day commemorates the sacrifices of ten policemen who sacrificed their life while defending our borders with China in 1959.
