Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra on Sunday laid the foundation stone of the Research and Laboratory building of National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCCBM) in Bhubaneswar.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Secretary said that it will definitely benefit Odisha and other eastern States.
The State Government has allocated one acre land for the research building of NCCBM. The research lab will be established in one and half years.
Odisha has already 14 cement plants and many more are coming to the State. The establishment of NCCBM research lab will ensure quality testing in the construction sector, he added.
The Chief Secretary also planted trees the occasion.
