Bhubaneswar: A ten member team of ASEAN countries consisting of the ambassadors and senior officials will arrive in Bhubaneswar today on a three day visit. The team will have interactive meetings with the State Government officials regarding the investment opportunities in Odisha. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is also likely to meet the members and discuss with them about the business environment in the state and the opportunities the state offers to investors in various sectors.
The visit has much significance as the state is going to hold its Make In Odisha Conclave in just about one month from now and the Chief Minister had attended a number of Investors’ meets held in various cities including Dubai, New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. According to reports, ambassadors from ASEAN countries such as Cambodia, Brunei, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Vietnam.
Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore are expected to reach Bhubaneswar. During his meeting at New Delhi, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had invited the envoys to visit Odisha and explore the investment potential. The focus of the team from ASEAN Countries will be on expanding business relations with Odisha in the sea food processing, Agriculture, Tourism and other services sectors.
