Balasore: More than 800 cattle loaded in eight containers were rescued yesterday in Balasore district in two separate places. On getting information about the illegal transportation of the cattle, the Jaleswar Police raided five contained near the Laxmanath toll plaza and rescued more than 500 animals.
Likewise, in another incident, three contained were seized near Gopinathpur village. The containers were heading towards West Bengal. Four persons have been apprehended in these cases and investigations are ongoing.
