President Murmu to Arrive On a Two-Day Visit to Odisha Tomorrow; Tight Security Arrangements in Place
Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu will arrive on a two-day visit to Odisha from tomorrow. This will be her first visit to the state after becoming the President of India.
She is scheduled to arrive at Bhubaneswar Airport at 10.50 AM in a special flight. She will be given a Guard of Honour at the Airport. She will leave for Puri immediately to offer prayers at the Lord Jagannath Temple. She will also have Mahaprasada in the Temple.
Back in Bhubaneswar, President Murmu is scheduled to offer floral tributes to the statues of grate leaders at various places in Bhubaneswar. She will also attend some special programs being organized at the Raj Bhawan on the first day of her visit. On the second day of her visit on Friday, President Murmu will visit the Tapoban High School in Kahndagiri, Unit – 2 Government Girls High school and Kuntala Kumari Sabata Tribal Girls Hostel. She will leave for New Delhi in the afternoon on Friday.
Ahead of the President’s visit, tight security arrangements have been made by the police and administration following the Blue Book. According to sources, 34 platoons of policemen and around 300 police officers will be deployed for the President’s two day visit to the state. This will include 200 SIs and ASIs, 62 ACPs, 22 ADCP rank officers, 4 DCP rank officers. The Commissionerate police today conducted a full carcade dress rehearsal.
