Odisha: Crime Branch Team Leaving for Brajarajnagar to Investigate Firing on Health Min 

Bhubaneswar: A Crime Branch team of Odisha Police is leaving to Brajarajnagar in Jharsuguda district to probe into the attack on Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Kisore Das on Sunday.

The team is led by Crime Branch Addl DG Arun Bothra, as per reports.

Earlier today, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik directed the Crime Branch to take up the investigation of the case. He asked the senior officers of Crime Branch to visit the spot.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has visited the Apollo Hospital, Bhubaneswar to take stock of condition of Naba Das, who is undergoing treatment following bullet injuries.

The Health Minister is in operation theatre of the hospital. A team of the best specialists in the State, drawn from Apollo Hospital, SCB MCH and Capital Hospital are attending to him.

The Minister was airlifted to Bhubaneswar from Jharsuguda with an accompanying medical team of specialists and life support equipment.

From Bhubaneswar airport, he was shifted immediately to Apollo Hospital, Bhubaneswar.
