Bhubaneswar: Fulfilling the longstanding demand of people of Paikamal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved the upgradation of Paikamal Primary Health Centre (PHC) to Community Health Centre (CHC) in Bargarh district.
It is worth noting that during the last by-election, the people of Paikamal met the Chief Minister and demanded for setting up a community health centre in their area. Accepting their demand, the Chief Minister asked the Health Department to take necessary steps in this regard.
On Saturday, the Health Department issued a notification regarding the upgradation of the Paikamal PHC (N) to CHC in Bargarh district. This will ensure affordable and quality healthcare and cater to the healthcare needs of the general public in Paikamal.
The upgraded PHC(N), Paikamal will function as CHC, Paikamal after provisioning of other allied infrastructure facilities, including manpower etc.
