Bhubaneswar: The Indian Railways has decided to run the semi-high speed Vande Bharat Express from Puri to Howrah soon. The schedule for the train has been released by the Railways. The train will run three days a week between Puri and Howrah. With the introduction of the Vande Bharat Express, the journey time will get reduced to about five and hours. The train will have stoppages at Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Kharagpur. The train will leave Puri at 2 pm and reach Howrah at 6. 30 PM. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had in August 2021 announced regarding the introduction of the Vande Bharat Express between Puri and Howrah.
