Bhubaneswar: Tarun Pandey has been nominated as Congress candidate for the ensuing bye-election to Jharsuguda Assembly seat in Odisha.
“Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has approved the candidature of Tarun Pandey as Congress candidate for the ensuing bye-election to the Legislative Assembly of Odisha from 07 — Jharsuguda Constituency”, AICC said in a press release.
Earlier, ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) had announced Dipali Das, daughter of former Health Minister late Minister Naba Kishore Das’s daughter, as its candidate for the by-election.
The by-poll will be held on May 10 while the result will be declared on May 13.
