Bhubaneswar: Odisha has been a role model in the fight against Malaria through multi-pronged interventions under DAMaN initiative, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday.
With effective measures, Odisha’s DAMaN initiative has successfully reduced Malaria cases by 95% in last 5 years which has earned accolades from WHO. After leading the fight against the killer sting, Odisha is on the way to eliminate it by 2030.
Taking to Twitter on the occasion of World Malaria Day, the Odisha CM has called for reaffirm pledge to further intensify the efforts to eliminate Malaria completely from the state.
