Dhenkanal: A youth Biju Janata Dal leader belonging to Kamakhyanagar NAC was seriously injured when three bike borne miscreants fired upon him at Kamakhyanagar in Dhenkanal district. The incident happened at about 11 pm yesterday. The BJD leader Kanhu Charan Sahu has been shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for treatment. The incident happened when he was returning in his car to his home at night. He has received bullet injuries on his right leg and thigh.
According to sources, he was also attacked previously by some miscreants. While the reason behind this attack is not known, the Dhenkanal police is investigating the issue.
