Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today sanctioned Rs 30 lakh for three patients from Balasore district for treatment of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), which is a complex muscle disease.
The patients are Kiran Kumar Mallick and Suraj Kumar Mallick, both from the Khandapada area, and Divyanshu Dixit of Simulia.
Each patient will receive a sum of Rs 10 lakh for their treatment.
It is worth mentioning that the treatment of DMD is very expensive.
