Odisha Govt Employees to Be Trained on Disaster and Pandemic Management 

Bhubaneswar: All the employees of the Odisha Government will be trained on disaster and pandemic management.

As per a historic decision of the State Council of Ministers, starting from Chief Secretary to Group D employees, all will be imparted training in disaster and pandemic management.

Pursuant to this decision, courses on disaster and pandemic management are being developed. The course prescribed for all Group-D level employees will be increased continuously and Group-A level employees will also complete all the courses.

A tripartite MoU has been signed between the Odisha State Disaster Management Authority, Odisha State Open University, Sambalpur and Higher Education Department to offer the disaster management training course.

Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Pramila Mallik, Higher Education Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Additional Chief Secretary and SRC Satyabrata Sahu, Secretary-cum-Commissioner of Higher Education Department Aravind Agarwal, Director of I&PR Department Saroj Kumar Samal and Vice Chancellor of Odisha State Open University, Sambalpur Prof. Arka Kumar Das Mohapatra were present on the occasion.
