Congress: Venugopal meets Raj incharge, unit chief; discusses vacant posts in party

New Delhi: Amid delay in announcement on party’s formula for Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and his former deputy Sachin Pilot, State Incharge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Unit Chief Govind Singh Dotasara on Tuesday met Party General Secretary K.C. Venugopal here.

According to party leaders, Randhawa and Dotasara met Venugopal along with the three co-incharge Amrita Dhawan, Qazi Nizamuddin and Virendra Singh Rathore at his residence and discussed several issues including filling the vacant posts in party in the desert state.

Venugopal also sought feedback of the leaders on several other issues of Rajasthan.

The party leaders also indicated that Randhawa and Dotasara also gave Venugopal the list of names of appointments to be made in the organization including district presidents and secretaries.

Appointments will be done after the approval of the High Command on this.

The meeting comes days after Venugopal met Randhawa and Ghot in Jaipur.

Even the Congress is yet to announce any formula or proposal for Gehlot and Pilot after the meeting that took place in May with party chief Mallikarjun Kharge and former party chief Rahul Gandhi.
