Low Pressure To Bring Heavy Rains In State From Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: The low pressure system developing in the Bay of Bengal will bring heavy rains in the state from tomorrow. Most of the interior and southern districts of Odisha are likely to get good amount of rains till the 6th of July bringing respite from the scorching heat. According to the Meteorological Department, a low pressure area is developing in the Bay of Bengal which is likely to form by 4th July and bring rains to the state.

The Met Department has also issued yellow warning for 13 districts for next 24 hours. Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal. It has also issued heavy rainfall warning for 5th and 6th July. According to the Met Department Bulleting Heavy Rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nawarangapur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Gajapati, Ganjam till 8. 30 am on 5th July and Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangapur, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Nuapada till 8.30 am on 6th July.
