Berhampur: Berhampur Police has busted an interstate robbers’ gang and arrested three members of the gang.
The arrested persons have been identified as Santosh Kumar Nat (36), Raja Yadav(28) and Manish Kumar Yadav(25). All are from Katihar district of Bihar.
The police seized two motorcycles, one vehicle insurance certificate, one helmet and driving license, three Adhar cards, six pre-paid mobile sets and air bag containing motor cycle lock breaking instruments and screw drivers.
They have been involved in other cases in Bhubaneswar, Khordha, Cuttack and Bhadrak areas.
They were robbing people of money and ornaments in different parts of the state in a pre-planned manner. After the theft, they went to another area and found a safe place and were hiding there. As a result, the police could not trace them easily.
A team of Berhampur Town Police under guidance of Berhampur SP Dr. Saravana Vivek M nabbed robbers.
