Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday nabbed a night watchman at the office of revenue inspector, Balandapada under Phiringia Tahasil in Kandhamal district for allegedly taking bribe for facilitating the mutation of land.
The night watch has been identified as Ajaya Mallick.
Mallick has been apprehended by the Vigilance sleuths while taking bribe of Rs.8000 from a person for facilitating the mutation of his ancestral land and issuance of patta in his favour.
In this connection, Berhampur Vigilance PS case No.15/2023 U/s 7 P.C (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress, the Vigilance stated.
