Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the new Airport at Utkela and flagged off the inaugural flight between Bhubaneswar and Utkela in Kalahandi district. With the flagging off of the inaugural flight, Kalahandi and the neighboring districts will have direct air connectivity with Bhubaneswar.
The Chief Minister flagged off the flight service through video conferencing. Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia joined the program through video conferencing from New Delhi. The first nine seater flight service from Bhubaneswar to Utkela is being operated by IndiaOne Air. The service will be available two days a week initially.
